No. You can use FoodStage AI from any mobile or desktop browser, and you can take the pictures with your smartphone’s camera. No special skills needed, just make sure the dish is well-lit and visible within the frame and we’ll take care of the rest!

You use credits to generate images. Each 2K image generation costs 1 credit, while 4K images cost 2 credits. New accounts start with 3 free trial credits, valid for 7 days. You can buy pay-as-you-go credits or subscribe to get a monthly credit allocation at a better price. Pay-as-you-go credits are valid for 1 year, while subscription credits are added monthly to your account and are valid during that month. If you are subscribed and you run out of credits, you can upgrade your plan or buy top-up credits, which are valid for 3 months as long as you have an active subscription. If you have multiple types of credits in your account at the same time, they will be automatically consumed in expiration order to minimize wasted credits.

No, you can buy pay-as-you-go credits instead and get full access to the platform, which is great if you only need to generate a few images or want to test it out. If you need to generate more images you might want to consider one of our subscription plans for better value, but it’s not required.

Yes! The Business plan includes multi-brand management: create a separate brand profile for each restaurant or client (with its own logo, brand color, vibe and target platforms) and switch between them in one click. Every generation stays organized under its brand, and all your brands share the same credit pool. If you manage menus for several businesses and want help finding the best setup, reach out and we’ll be happy to help.

If you are on the Starter plan and run out of credits, you can upgrade to the Business plan from Credits → Upgrade plan. When upgrading this way, you'll be charged a prorated amount and moved to the new plan immediately. You won't lose any current credits, and the credit difference for the current period will be awarded right away.

Please note that you can also change your plan from the customer portal (Account → Manage billing → Change plan), but in that case the change won't take effect until the next billing cycle.

You can change your subscription to a lower tier from Account → Manage billing → Change plan. Changes will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You will still enjoy the benefits of your current plan until then.

If you purchased pay-as-you-go credits or a subscription by mistake, you can request a refund within 14 days as long as none of the credits have been used. Just email us at support@foodstageai.com and we’ll be glad to help you.

If any of the credits have been used, we’re unable to issue a refund due to the high operating costs of generative AI. If you’re not satisfied with the images you created, you can try again with different source photos or settings. If you are having trouble achieving the results you want, please reach out to us at support@foodstageai.com and we’ll do our best to help.

We don’t have a mobile app at the moment, but our web app is fully optimized for mobile devices and you can easily add it to your smartphone’s home screen as a Progressive Web App (PWA) using Chrome or Safari.
